The Canada Regional Team supports the Teams of Our Lady movement in Canada with the Regional Team Responsible Couple being the liaison to the international level that oversees the worldwide Teams of Our Lady movement.

Serving for a four year term, the team is made up of a Responsible Couple, Spiritual Counsellor, and couples who look after the Intercessors and Friends of Fr. Caffarel, Treasurer & Secretary, Communications, and liaisons with Canada West, Central and East.

In their own words:

“We have been in Teams since 2009 (13 years) and have been married 32 years. We have 3 adult sons and 2 grandchildren. We are in Orangeville 1 Team, Immaculate Heart of Mary. We first became involved in Teams from a friend’s invitation to “Come and See”. Over the years, we have come to better know and to love the movement and the charism of Teams. We have served as the first Sector Couple for the Toronto GTA when Ontario only had two sectors, that being London and Toronto. Shortly after the sector grew to become 4 sectors, we were asked to serve as the first Canada Central Liaison Couple for a 4 year term on the Regional Team (2017-2021). As we were ending our term, we were asked to serve as Regional Couple and with confidence in God’s grace, gave our yes to serve the Canada region 2021-2025. We have had the privilege to meet so many faith-filled couples and spiritual counsellors on this life-giving journey with Teams of Our Lady. The movement has been an absolute gift to our marriage that we are incredibly grateful for.”

Fr. Eric Rodrigues

Following several years of university studies in science and after working in the pharmaceutical industry, Fr. Eric entered the priestly formation program at St. Augustine’s Seminary, in Toronto, and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Toronto in 2009. After five years of pastoral ministry, he was sent to Rome for graduate studies in systematic theology. He obtained a licentiate in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University, and is currently completing his doctoral dissertation. He joined the formation faculty at St. Augustine’s Seminary in 2019, and currently serves as the Vice Rector and Director of Spiritual Formation and Liturgy. Fr. Rodrigues also serves as a sessional lecturer in systematic theology.

Fr. Eric is currently a Spiritual Counsellor for the Scarborough 1 team, with the Toronto Sector. He joined the Canada Regional Team in 2021.

Aldora and Matthew Harrison

Aldora and Matthew have been married since 2008 and, along with their three children, call Fort McMurray, Alberta home. They have been with Teams of Our Lady since 2014 and are part of the Our Mother of Mercy team in Fort McMurray, which is part of Edmonton Sector A. Having taken up the Communications Couple role on the Regional Team in fall of 2022, Aldora and Matthew look forward to sharing the married spirituality of Teams with others and supporting Teams in Canada.

In their own words:

We were married in 1990 and are blessed with two wonderful daughters. We discovered the Teams of Our Lady in 2015 through our own research online and joined the first English-speaking team in Edmonton, Alberta. In 2020, we were invited to serve as the responsible couple for Edmonton Sector A, which includes Spanish, Portuguese, English and Polish-speaking teams. In 2021 we were invited to serve as the Canada West Liaison couple. Our experience with the movement has changed us as a couple in how we support each other in our spirituality. We have met so many amazing couples in the movement and religious that we now call our dear friends.

Canada West has teams in the provinces of Manitoba and Alberta, over five sectors:

Liaison Canada Central

Joan and Brian Barry

Joan and Brian joined Teams of Our Lady in Guildford, Surrey, England in 1996. They are currently part of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Oakville 1 team, which is part of the Mississauga-Hamilton sector. In their own words:

We have had so much fun since we joined, meeting with wonderful people that have a common faith base from all parts of the world. We have grown in our holiness as a couple and as part of our team. We can highly recommend Teams of Our Lady as an amazing organization for those that want to progress their faith and grow closer together in marriage.

Canada Central has teams in the province of Ontario, and supports teams piloting in Nova Scotia. There are five sectors in Canada Central, including:

Liaison Canada East

Christiane Chartrand et Philippe Savoie 

Christiane and Philippe have been members of the Québec Sector since 1992 (team #36). They are happy to talk with whoever is open to hearing about Jesus Christ and his love for each of us, and of course trying in our daily life to be inspired by the Holy Spirit to love one another.

Canada East has teams in the province of Quebec, over three sectors, including:
